Hi all - I've been chasing a hard cold start, running rich condition, as well as occasional intake backfiring. I tried the paperclip in the A & B terminals of the ALDL this past weekend and all I get is that the engine cooling fan comes on. I get no "check engine" light at all (with or without the paperclip in). Any help is appreciated, thanks,

HI there, Check your injector resistance first, 16.5 ohms. If you have enough shorted out, they could have fried the ECM. Post your test results. Allthebest, c4c5 |

I did replace the injectors last year with FIC's. Would the car still run with a bad ECM? I still get all mileage and other info in the info display and the car runs fairly good or the most part once it's warmed up

All injectors test between 14.1 and 14.4 ohms. Is this too low a reading?

Hi there, It is lower than what it should be, but I would not think it would cause your ECM to fail. You will most likely need to replace the ECM and then proceed. Allthebest, c4c5 |
