Hello - The seat belts on my C4 need to be repaired or replaced. I know about the recall and GM is telling me replacement parts are not available. Currently I'm waiting for a response from their escallation team. But, I found a company in FL that claims they can repair the retractor mechanism. I just don't know how to remove the seatbelt & retractor assembly. The retractor assembly adjacent to the seat is enclosed in a plastic housing. I see no screws holding that assembly together. My quesiton is - does anyone have directions on how to remove the seatbelts from a 1988C4? Do I need to remove that plastic enclosure, the seats, etc? Any help would be appreciated!! | ||||||||||||||||||||

Hi there, Take the seats out, peel back carpeting and you will be just fine. Replace them and no other problems otherwise. Allthebest, c4c5 |
