CM LTPMS-Would you disable it./Opinions please

Here's my dilemma. I have a 90 Vert, Auto with the LTPMS. I recently purchased a set of C5 wheels to put on it. The "new" wheels don't have sensors.

I have read that the LTPMS cannot be repaired if it malfunctions.

My question is, should I go thru the expense of buying new wheel sensors to keep the system functional, knowing that if the system fails I wasted hard earned cash?

I get an intermittant "check LTPMS" light now but it clears itself.

The car is not a daily driver but its not a show car either.

Hi there,

Its not going to create any problems if you disable it.

The best move is to remove the upper trim and bezel around the radio/hvac and then remove the module.

Allthebest, c4c5

That's what I'm going to do. I'll pull the module and delete the tire sensors. I check the tires before every drive anyway.

On my 96 I just pulled 2 little bulbs on the dic. I think one was to illuminate if there was a system problem and the other bulb was if a tire(s) was low.

It was hard to grab onto the little bulbs. Pull straight out.
