Okay, car was running like a champ--new vacuum hoses, new plugs, wires, new MAF, readjusted TPS--the works. Fuel pump and relay were new last August before it was stored in October. All of a sudden, now when it's warm, it wants to WILDLY hunt for an idle. 900, 450, 560, 600, 700, etc. when it's warm. Not all the time, but quite often. Drives just fine cruising, but at a light? Not so much. I end up goosing the throttle to keep it running. Need to know if this is serious or what I can do before I hit the road for the Corvette Action Forum event in Effingham Wednesday morning.

HI there, Double check your fuel pressure to make sure the pressure regulator isnt leaking fuel into the intake through the vacuum line. Also, make sure that the MAF is tightly connected. Allthebest, c4c5 |

I will Thanks! That fuel pressure regular may need replacing. It's about the only thing I haven't replaced in ten years.

Idle hunting when hot? Sounds like an intake manifold leak.

Aw gee! Don't say that! It was just fixed last year! Hopefully, Paul will have better news when he looks at it in Effingham.

Thanks! Fuel pressure came out at a rock-steady 48. I shot the new MAF with throttle body cleaner (while cold--sitting overnight to dry). If it runs better, my mind leans toward the burn-off relay, but than could be influenced by the fact it's easier to do than the intake gasket!

Paul, If I'm checking my 02 sensor plug. What am I looking for there? Any readings it will show on a multimeter that tell me if the plug or wiring is okay?
