CM Outside mirrors dripping down doors.

OK, I have given up on this one. My 2009 C6's outside mirrors get water under them after I wash the car and drip down the doors for hours afterwards. The water seems to come from the mirror/gasket interface. I have tried blowing out the mirrors with compressed air and a leaf blower and nothing will completely eliminate the drip. I've gotten to the point I just let it drip until it stops (usually overnight) and then polish out the water streaks the next day. Somebody out there has surely figured this out. Thanks in advance.

I haven't washed my car yet so I don't notice the problem but when I do I'm ready with the Blaster.

flip your mirrors to face downward when you blow them out

Knowing the antennae for the satellite services are in the mirrors, I can't think that blowing compressed air to dry would be a very good thing over time. Water inside the housings where the wires are is going to have an effect sooner or later.

A cheap alternative is to wrap Saran wrap over them. When done washing the car remove the wrap and wash each mirror tenderly.
