It's quite easy. Doesn't even need a tool.

You do mean the throttle body, right? Just noticed you're also concerned about your AT.

Can't remember where I saw the adjustment instructions. Maybe Vette Magazine's website? Google? I find lots of good instructional videos on YouTube.

Essentially, that grey button on the cables near where they're mounted to the TB, press it in. Move your throttle to wide open and then let go fast and release the button. Two thumbs is all it should take. Just compensates for all the stretching the cable must do.

HI there,

You must move the cable harness with the button PRIOR to opening the throttle by the gas pedal.

Simply depress the silver button on the cable attachment at the throttle body. PUSH THE CABLE TOWARDS THE TRANSMISSION.

Then, sit in your vehicle and push the throttle to the floor.

You will hear a CLICK and the adjustment will be complete.

BUT, stating that the transmission has been overhauled and that the stall converter is installed, they most likely did something to the valve body or spacer plate.

Allthebest, c4c5

That's the full story! I knew it was simple, but I was forgetting the exact process.

Thanks, Can I open the throttle all the way at the linkage rather then being inside the car?

HI there,
Always open with the gas pedal, as there are sometimes not as much movement when you correctly use the gas pedal vs moving the throttle itself.

Your adjustments need to be accurate and this is the best way to do it, from INSIDE the car.
