CM Overdrive capacity + wheel question

Hi,

87 Vette with the 4 + 3 trans. Anybody know how much fluid the overdrive takes when changing it?

Also, the clear coat is about half gone on my (original) wheels. What is a good way to take the rest of it off without damaging the wheels??

Thanks!

HI there,

Normally, I will send the wheels out to be stripped and clear coated.

I believe that there is a certain kind of chemical stripper that is used although I do not know the name of it.

As for your overdrive unit, 2-3 quarts should be the maximum you should need.

Allthebest, c4c5

Be certain to change the filter in that OD too. By '87 it was a decent unit, but good maintenance is key. They are expensive to replace.
