Trany???

[Easy Goin]

I have a 1993 coupe w/AT, all stock with 115K miles on it. A few weeks ago the car starts free wheeling if I let off the gas and either down shift to the next lowest gear or touch the brake. I took it to the transmission shop and a couple of hundred later he tells me he has never seen this problem before with all 4 gears. There is a coast clutch for each gear and they never all go out at the same time. He tells me I can drive it like it is or do a complete tear down. Is there a brake switch or computer problem that might be causing this? Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Actually, more details would be needed here.

If you do go into manual 3 / 2 / 1, do you get engine compression braking????

#1, the overrun clutch is ONLY IN 1 and 2 and 3, YOU DO NOT get it in 4th, so my first instinct is find another transmission shop.

#2, how is the fluid level and is it foamy or look like peptobismol ???
