CM Engine no start

Hi guys,

One of my friend have a 1991 Corvette with ZF manual gearbox.

It have some problems :

VATS don't work perfectly, we clean it with contact cleaner, it work better, but not perfectly, "SECURITY" light come frequently... so no engine starter.

We don't heard the fuel pump, so we try to test the fuel pump relay, but we don't find it on the firewall next to the brake mastervac ??? When we short cut the oil pressure switch, the fuel pump work. But the pressure switch is a 3 wires??? is it right??? Is located under the distributor.

SYS light flashing all the time.... so engine can't run, isn't it?

We have some errors codes :

code 34
code 44
code 54
code 99

Could someone help us?

we have fuel, ignition but no engine start when engine starter work....

Hi there,

Your VATS is most likely your ignition lock cylinder that needs replacing, as there is most likely a broken wire in the steering column.

That will probably repair your condition.

Im not sure if your vehicle is EXPORT and that changes things, so if you could PM the VIN, we might be able to help you further.

Allthebest, c4c5

Hi there,
No, you do not have to remove the column for that repair.

You need a lock plate depressor in order to remove the retaining ring in the center.
