Is it true that redlining the engine fairly regularly will prevent carbon buildup? If so, this seems a lot funner than dumping these products into the tank.

No, it won't prevent it. Redlining the engine will raise the cylinder pressures and temperatures that can deter and remove small amounts of carbon, but it won't prevent it from happening. Quality Top Tier fuels are your best bet for now, but even they cannot stop carbon build up as they can only slow it down.

The real reason we are using Techron and Gumout Regane is for the Fuel Sensor problem.
