|  No crank condition on a 95
Hi All - Last weekend my 95 developed a no crank problem. No 12v on purple wire at the starter. I can hear fuel pump when the key is turned on and all other power seems to be working. I jumpered 12v to the starter with the key turned on and the car will start, run for a few seconds and then die. It will start again but shuts off. The dash Security light is on steady with the key in the on position. If it's a VATS problem, would the car start at all?

I know my signiture shows an 87. Just got the 95 Coupe a few months ago....

HI there, The VATS system will not allow the engine to turn over AND shuts off the fuel injector pulse. You most likely have a problem with your ignition lock cylinder or the key. Allthebest, c4c5 | ||||||||||||||||||||
