1971 Corvette 4 sp. We totally rebuilt this car, while driving last week one of the adjusting nuts came off the linkage rod that connects to one of the brackets that allows the trans to shift. we found the nut and re-connected the rod, now the shifter is locked in either 3rd. but I suspect 4th. gear and won't shift at all. Help Did we break it bad??? Thank you in advance for your wisdom... Walt Rush | ||||||||||||||||||||

HI there, The first thing I would do is disconnect them and then see which shifter levers you can move. Each has one click eithe way of center. Except for reverse, which goes only on way as it engages. So,disconnect all of them, and get them to the center position and see what does and does NOT move. Let u know, c4c5 |
