CM Interior lights
My interior lights are acting weird. They occasionally didn't come on with the door, but all always with headlight switch.

Now they're not coming on at all. Neither door triggers them. I checked the fuse, the door switch--nada.

Ideas?
1985 Z51 4+3 trans rebuilt 5.7 TPI,(.10 over) w/ CompCams 12-262-4, 52MM Throttlebody, underdrive pulleys, reworked heads, Hypertech Thermomaster chip, & cat back exhaust

HI there,

It may be the interior door lamp module, located below the passenger dash taped to the wiring harness.

That may not be responding to the inputs from the doors but will respond to the switch.

Also, a question, does the lights go on when you pop the hatch glass????

Hi Paul,

Funny you mention that spot. I bet I disturbed something when I was servicing the ECM.

They only work if I bang around or push down on the door sill a few times which made me think connection.

Now that I know where to look, I'll pull it op on the shop manual.
