CM Loud POP

Hey All, How everyone getting along?

Driving down the road at 55 in C6 vert top up and hear a loud Pop that sounds like it came from inside the car with another sound a few mili secs later that sounded like a spring retracting through a tube. No lights, no other sounds, nothing else seems to be wrong and I cannot find anything else wrong anywhere.

I have not tried the top yet....thought I would ask before I got the top down and maybe not get it back up.

Anyone got an idea? Thanks is advance for a hint or two!

What year is your car? Does the sound appear to come from behind the passenger seat?

Hi there,

It could be oil canning of the panel behind the seats.

It is possible that one of the welds might not be complete on the frame.

Unfortunately, you will have to have the vehicle inspected by someone who KNOWS Corvette and can tell you what you have.

Can I assume that nothing with the top is involved? I have been afraid to put it down since I heard the noise.
