CM How does tc/ah deal with non stock tire size?

I asked this some time (years) ago & got some good "general" informantion.

I would like to find some specifics. Nothing in the FSM & can't find details on any forum.

This is for 2004 z06 & I think it varies from year to year depending on how GM programmed it.

It compares wheel speeds & if it sees too much differential it intervenes.

I know on my car I can turn on/off/competition. I know how it works, I am just trying to find out SPECIFICALLY how close or far apart I can go in tire diameters and not cause issues with the tc/ah left on for street driving.

The oem tires are .7 inch greater diameter in rear per the Tire Rack specifications.

Does anyone have access to actual detail specs on the system for 2004 z06 or can you point me in the right direction?

TIA

Hi there,

The calibrations are all different between coupe and ZO6.

Noone but GM has the exact information.

This is EXACTLY the reason why we never recommend changing tire sizes.

From my personal experience, I have seen very minute changes create issues with active handling.

Allthebest, c4c5

I saw a post awhile back on another forum stating that someone had hacked the code so you could run the same size tire on all 4 corners

If you could find it again, send me a link. I am simply trying to find out as much factual info as I an before buying tires.

Besides being very expensive, the oem tires are surpassed in some performance measurements by other tires which are not always available in the exact sizes.
