CM 2007 C6 and 2009 Z06 Loud Pop
It happened twice with my 2007 C6 Coupe and today with my 2009 Z06. It sounds like a hand size rock hit the car by the gas cap. No force of impact felt. I walked around the car and there are no scratches or cracks. Is this some kind of pressure release?

Today's "Loud Pop" happened when I was completely stopped waiting on a red light.

Seriously, are you sure it's not the roof loosening?


EDIT: Get some silicone spray lube and spray your rubber gaskets on your rear hatch and your removeable top.

No removable top on the Z06. Maybe it was another car. I didn't feel anything.

Sorry, my bad. The Z06 top can be removed. It just takes wrenches to do, but yes, it can be removed.
You wouldn't want to drive around with the top off because of the liners but rest assured, it can be removed.


* I'm not talking about the painted skin either.
