Is it safe to use BG 44K in my LS7 as a preventative measure? I have no "piston slap" or other loud ticking, but I'd like to keep it that way. Maybe Techron instead? Car is a 2006 with 5800 miles. I only use Mobil 93 octane fuel and Mobil 1 5w30 oil.

You will be fine with either one, but if you don't have any problems I would lean towards Techron as a preventative measure. Schucks/Oreilly had Techron on sale, two for one in 20 oz size not too long ago.

I'm not really familiar with BG products, however, since you don't drive your car much, I would suggest some kind of fuel conditioner/stabilizer. 5800 miles in 4+ years isn't much. Still on the orig. battery?

Thanks guys. I'm going to try the BG product. Norty, the car is on it's second battery. New AC Delco last year. I keep it on a Schumacher trickle charger, similar to the battery tender. Works great.

I got 3 cans of BG 44K on ebay shipped to my door for $42. I figured that was a good deal. I got my Schumacher at Advanced Auto Parts. One of the best items for the car I've evr purchased.

Did you get the yellow plastic funnel that is available for the BG44K can? If not you may want to find one, they are pretty slick for installing the product in the fuel neck. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Unfortunately I didn't get the funnel with my purchase. I have a funnel that fits the fuel fill pretty well. I'll just use that one.
