Next day I checked fuel injectors cold 16.4~16.3~16.3~16.4~16.4~16.4~16.4~16.3. also replaced HEI module also tested pick up coil ohmmeter reading value is 800 I also replace fuel filter. Engine started up running great fuel psi normal 38 kept idling temperature reached 190 engine cut off could not restart it, NO spark fuel delivery is ok. Check your ignition coil for carbon tracking to the outer metal holder, check the underside of your distributer rotor for the same carbon tracks, make sure your coil is grounded properly with a ground strap inside the distributer cap. Do you have battery voltage on the big red wire to the distributer with the ignition on and when cranking the engine over? Good luck with it.

Are you absolutley positive that you have no spark when it dies and won't restart? Also, check for injector pulse at the injectors with a noid light when the problem is active.

| When engine cut out I used my inline spark tester there is no spark, I used my noid light no signal. Like I mentioned earlier when engine is cold starts up runs great as soon as reaches normal temperature cuts out will not start up until cools off. At this point I have no idea how to correct this problem. I thank you for your help. | ||||||||||||||||||||

I just went through similar situation, car would stall, went through-out fuel delivery , then went to ignition, found out alternator had loose wire, that damaged distributor damage, replaced also pick up coil and also MAF was contributer

If you have no spark and no injector pulse, then it sounds like a ignition primary circuit issue. Test your dist. pick up coil for resistance and wiggle the wires slightly to make sure they are not broken where they go into the pick up coil windings. If everything checks good then it may be your ignition module. Good luck with it.

HI there, Yes, I agree with Larry. Check your pickup coil for correct resistance. The pickup coil gives the signal to the PCM for fuel injector pulse as well as firing the coil for spark. At the same time, double check the RPM signal on the white wire. I would be leaning to the pickup coil. Allthebest, c4c5 |
