I have found three of these. Two on the drivers side close the the radiator fill tank and another on the passenger size as you can see under the hood rod. What are these?

HI there, Those are the bolts that hold the subframe to the vehicle frame. There are 4in the front and 4 in the rear of the vehicle as well. Allthebest, c4c5 |

Strange looking bolt. And it has to have a clip to hold it in? However when the clip is removed the clip seems to be doing nothing. Still can't move the bolt (plug) even if you pull or pry on it. Strange enginerring!

HI there, The clips do only one thing. Hold them in the frame during assembly as the driveline is raised into the vehicle, then the nuts are torqued to 81 ft lbs and there is no further need for the clips. Its a better design than c5 which used pop rivets to hold the bolts into the frame during assembly. Allthebest, c4c5 |
