|  C6 Automatic Shifting Problem
My 2005 C6 automatic coupe does not shift from park to reverse. I can start the car in park but the automatic shifter will not move into reverse. Sometimes I turn the car off for a few seconds and restart in park and the car will shift from park to reverse. This problem has occured several time and makes the car undependable away from home. The car is still at the dealership who's troubleshooting and trying to determine the cause of the problem. I read a thread from a post on this subject which correction actions was to revise transmission calibration. I mentioned the transmission calibration to the dealship service advisor who stated that they need to conduct their own troubleshooting with no recommendation of cause after having the vehicle for 48 hours. Does anyone have a suggestion or had the same problem. Please advise... Thank you! TVETTE  | ||||||||||||||||||||

Speculation here, but could it be a brake pedal switch? I would think there may be a code stored also.

HI there, Brake transmission shifter interlock could be creating the condition. I have also seen broken wires to the shifter as well. As Norty has said, there may be diagnostic trouble codes set in the BCM. Allthebest, c4c5 | ||||||||||||||||||||
