I was not sure whether to post this on this area or C3 area but being it pertains more to an LS2 here goes. I am in the process of installing a 2006 LS2 with a T56 into a 74 C3 vert automatic. The engine and trans were test fitted last week and fit great just need to modify trans cross member and new driveshaft. The engine is a new 2006 LS2 GM crate engine and we (me and my friend the owner) are leaning toward the LS7 clutch. The engine has a flywheel and I need to find out whether the LS2 and LS7 flywheels are the same part number. If they are the same what is the deal with the balance weights, and any other thing I should know about an LS7 clutch. Thanks ZO6_Vette | ||||||||||||||||||||

HI there, The LS7 clutch is different from the LS2. Now, balancing weights are used from the factory to perform very tight balancing adjustments. IT is highly unlikely that you will be able to do anything that close. So I wouldnt worry about it. As for the rest, the hydraulics are all the same between the 2 Allthebest, c4c5 |
