GM DEXOS replaces Mobil 1

This is for all those using Mobil 1.

GM DEXOS 1 fluid lubrication specification replaces 4718M for usage in Corvette.

It is substantially less money and will NOT VOID ANY WARRANTY.

Look at the specification and who licenses it to make SURE it is good to use if you decide to use something else.

I will use Dexos, as it costs less and meets gm specification 4718M that is required for your Corvette.

Mobil 1 is not very expensive for a fully engine synthetic oil, in fact it is a relative bargain.

Is the GM Dexos fully synthetic, how much does it cost, and who makes it for GM? Sorry for all the questions, but I cannot find any info on the product.

I have no complaints with Mobil One and the cost has never been an issue.

Wow, thats big. So apparently GM is ok with using a non-fully synthetic engine oil in all Corvette, including LS7 and LS9?

What is their reasoning that a fully synthetic oil was not needed?
