HI there,

What was your battery test readings???

Are your terminals at your battery distorted due to overtightening???

My best guess would be that when you remove and change the terminals, you are recreating a good connection if the battery tests over 12.5 volts and 500 CCA.

Also, we have seen multiple issues with tuned PCM and no starts.

Allthebest, c4c5

Thanks for replying. When the car won't start all instruments function. Gauges indicate proper voltage, as does a voltage meter. During the period when I thought battery was draining, thought I had severe DBS, I had a jumper box and still would not start until I disconnected battery. Does the computer store trouble codes even after I disconnect the battery?

Thanks in advance for any help.

HI there,

Well, you could.

I would simply check a few things.

#1, absolutely no aftermarket electrical accessories in anyway within the vehicle.

#2, a diagnostic scan of the system BEFORE you disconnect the battery of the body control module, as this is the gateway control module.

Please post the codes you get.

CM Same trouble

Just to let you know I had the same trouble with my 2007 vette. One morning I went to start it and it would not start. All gages and headlights worked. The dealer sent over a tow truck and they disconnect the battery after getting it on the truck and when the dealer reconnected the battery the car started right up. They played with it for two days but could not get it to act up again. the next time it does it I am going to try disconnecting the battery for 5 mins. and see what happens.

Well here lies the promlem...when your car leaves you stranded, it's rarely timely & convenient. With tools in car your up & running in 2 minutes or less; and unless you have a code reader, dealer would have for, well...???
Need to borrow code reader, I will succeed!

Thanks.

A standard code reader will NOT give you BCM codes.

You will need a Tech 2 with Candi module.

Certainly something is NOT right, in either one of your cases.
