CM 1995 Corvette just clicks in the morning

Hello, I need a little help. Actually a lot of help. I have a 1995 corvette that in the morning just clicks. I tried suggestions to try to restart it imediatly but I have to try sometimes 15 times. From what I am reading it mat be the CCM but it isn't displaying SYS when this happens. I noticed this morning that the remote will not open the door or the hatch in the morning. After the thing starts the remote works fine. If it is the anti theft portion of the CCM, can this be bypassed. After the car starts in the morning it seems to be fine for the rest of the day, bu I have only had the car for a week and it isn't that cold yet here in NJ. I'm afraid that it won't start at all when it gets really cold. Any help would be great.

I don't think that it is the battery. It will do the same thing with a booster on it.

Clean and inspect the cables including at the starter. Be sure they are tight. Even if they look good, clean them anyways.
Also have the battery tested.

I would start with the basics first. Prove that the battery is good with a proper battery load test, make sure the cables are clean and tight, and checking the cables after tightening the battery cable bolts by wiggling the clamps to make sure that they don't move.

Agreed, you need to check your terminal tension and quality of the battery.

If you had a sys light, thats a different story.

11 ft lbs tightness on the battery terminal bolts. 12.5 volts and 500 CCA will be what you need to have the car start correctly.

CM maybe the starter

I have tightened all the connections that I could find. I'm leaning towards the starter. I could tap the starter when this happens IF I COULD FIND IT!!!!! Where in the heck did they put the starter and can I get to it if the car is sitting on the ground?

HI there,

Passenger side of the engine, and from underneath, you can access the starter.
