CM Tire Wear...

I installed new Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar Gen II tires on my 2008 Z06 and noticed that the old front tires (14,600 miles) had terrible wear on the inside edge. I recently had some work done to it and had the alignment checked and corrected on a new Hunter system. The car was dead on except for one measurement that was like .001 degree off. Does this wear seem excessive? I know race type cars have a negative camber setup but this wear seems a bit extreme. Any thoughts?

unless you are into autoX or track days set the camber as close to zero as posible. i have been doing this since 1998 when i talked to a corvette engineer at bowling green about this problem and this is what he told me to do.

Pretty normal with the stock alignment setup. Take out some neg camber if you are interested in long wear vs. max conering.

The same type of tread wear occurred on the front tires of my 1999 C5, purchased new. An issue of Corvette News had the same advice that motorman posted. I had the tire ship set the camber at zero, after showing them the article, when I bought a replacement set of Goodyear EMT tires. The front tires wore evenly after the camber was reset.
