CM HVAC question

I have an '06 C6 Auto. This is intermittent but is happening more and more frequently. With the AC on the passenger side of the system puts out hot to warm air depending on the setting, 60 degree setting=warm air, 90 degree setting hot air, it never puts out cold air when this situation is happening. Turning the system off and on and cycling the temp up and down has fixed it in the past but not today. Seems like there must be an air or water valve that is broken/stuck maybe?. Would appreciate and advice/help.

Some of the early C6's were overcharged in their A/C systems, but I thought this was only in the 2005MY. This could be the issue.

The passenger side and the driver side seem to put out the same temp air. That's how it's been since my 2006 was new, anyway.

HI there,

You most likely have an actutor issue or the temperature sensor in the air duct.

Normally, data from the HVAC control module will need to be read to accurately determine what is going on.

Is that a dealer issue or can I do it with a reader?

HI there,

You will need a Tech 2 scanner with Candi module

There are a few aftermarket options that read HVAC data, but they are very expensive, not just a code reader.

I would say dealership on this one.

Thanks for the info! I like the dealer (not the one in Gainesville!)and they have good service but of course you pay for it.... oh well, the joys of owning a Vette will make up for it:)
