CM Check Engine Code

Recently I replaced my knock sensors and the wiring harness, furthermore I had my computer reprogram with all the updates. The vette ran fine for several months no more Check Engine, however, yesterday the Check Engine light went on with a code of P0327H referring back to the knock sensors. Is this normal and is it possible that the knock sensors are doing what they are suppose to do picking up a knock? Any ideas?

HI there,

If your sensors were dropped or they were not torqued correctly, this code could set.

It can also set if you washed down your engine and water got into the ports.

Allthebest, c4c5

Why were the knock sensors and wiring harness replaced originally?

They were replaced because of the code / check engine that came up on the computer.

Eeeeyowwww.

Just washed engine today. Where are those?

Cold engine, I blew the dirt out with air, hand sprayed with Purple Power degreaser, fine misted with water, blew the excess water out with air, started, warmed up, ran it thru the gears to about a buck ten for a little bit. I did not ck codes but it seemed fine.

That ok?

They are in the middle valley between the cylinder heads and under the intake manifold. Water can get in there from washing and corrode the harness and sensors. Fine misting with H2O should be fine, it's usually pressure washers or garden hoses that cause the problems.

If they were water damaged, then it is possible that the main engine harness pins were also contaminated, or that the pin fits are loose. I would check all the harness and pin fits very closely. Good luck with it.
