My time to break out the wrenches instead of the advice. When GM was going bankrupt, my Low Coolant message started coming up. I wanted to replace the surge tank, but the couldn't get one. So, I've just been hitting the reset button and periodically checking under the hood. Until a few days ago, that is. I pulled out of my garage spot and saw a stain. Came home and looked around, but could figure out where the leak was coming from. A few days of sitting and I can feel the underside of the pump is wet. So, since I'll be changing out the surge tank and water pump, I'm assuming it is a good idea to change out the upper and lower hoses, serpentine and AC belts as well since the car is 11 1/2 years old with 78000mi. Correct? Or is this overkill? Can the stock clamps be reused or need to be replaced when you take off the hose? Thanks! | ||||||||||||||||||||

HI there, OEM clamps are fine, as long as Gates hoses are used. I dont think its overkill at all. Solid repair to me. Allthebest, c4c5 |
