I know that for my car, when I changed the air filter for the first time, I came to find out I needed a torx wrench to get to the filter. Having never neeeded or used a torx wrench before, I had no idea what size I needed. I just went to the local hardware store and bought a small set of torx sockets that appeared to have the right size. It turned out to be the T-25 in torx lingo. I hope this helps, tmoorez06 | |||||||||||||||||||||

| The rubber grommets that holds down the filter housing has pins in the center. Take a needle nose pliers or small screwdriver and pry up the center pin in the grommet. Once you remove the the pins the filter housing will come up.

| Your welcome, also the 2008 and up (LS3 engines) share the same air filter and part number as the 2008 and up (LS7 engines) Z06's. Some have even installed the ZR1 air filters which flow a little better resulting in a few more hp. The LS3 filters are availible online for $93.00 and should last for 50k miles, gmpartshouse.com has good prices. | ||||||||||||||||||||
