HI there,

You do not get a MZ6 with a base coupe or convertible, but get it with ZO6.

Lets be clear with GM designation and the correct axle ratios.

The OP asked for the Z06 differential and transmission gear ratios and there is some unclarity of the RPO codes you mentioned.

The MZ6 is the RPO code for a manual 6 spd. transmission with 2.97 1st gear ratio that comes in the Grand Sport or Z51 optioned C6 corvettes.

The MM6 is the RPO code for a manual 6 spd. transmission with 2.66 1st. gear ratio that comes in the base and Z06 C6 corvettes.

The MN6 is the RPO code for merchandised transmission, manual 6 spd provisions.

All C6 manual Corvettes, Base, Z51, Grand Sports, Z06 and ZR1's come with 3.42 differential gear ratio.

HI there,

MM6 has NEVER come in the C6 ZO6, thus the reason for the disparity.<<<<<<WRONG
GM RPO codes for this are the reason, due to differing powerbands and torque peaks.

If you are talking ZR1, then that is even DIFFERENT gear ratios in the transmission, than the coupe and convertible, vs ZO6 listed.

The RPO code MN6 is just a provision for a manual transmission, as stated on my invoice. The RPO code MZ6 is 2.97 1st. gear ratio for Z51 and Grand Sports. The RP0 MM6 is 2.66 1st. gear designated for the base and Z06 which validated a higher torque rating. I am not talking about the ZR1 RPO MH3 which is a 2.29 1st. gear ratio.

For example, I have a 2008 coupe, manual with the Z51 option. My glove door lists my RPO codes. Two of the RPO codes listed are MN6 and MZ6 which means it has provision for a manual transmission and the transmission is a 2.97 1st gear ratio which is the correct manual transmission for a Z51 option manual corvette.

I bet if you looked up the RPO codes on a Z06 glove box that both MN6 and MM6 would be listed. This would indicate that the car was provisioned for a manual transmission and it has a 2.66 1st gear ratio (like all C6 Z06's).
