HI there, I have seen some issues with the MSD units, from intermittant misfires to actual failures. I would be wondering what problems you are having with a unit with only 24k on it ???? Either lift should be ok. Just make sure you reference the owners manual for correct lift points. Allthebest, c4c5 |

If you go with an MSD, and yes there have been some problems with them, but for the most part, it's a solid piece, but you need to loctite the rotor. The early MSD pieces had a problem with the rotor screww coming loose. I have an MSD for when mine goes out. I am running the original opti on 135K. The MSD for the 92-93 comes with a kit to vent the opti, unlike the factory pieces for these models. What controller box are you talking about? The MSD doesn't have anythng different than the factory one. Now the wiring for for the MSD may not be the correct plug so you may have to wire it direct and the wires are a little different color. I know the 1992 one I have is. If the '93 MSD unit is like the on I have (which says for '92-'93 Corvette) and your wiring is like mine (different wiring on the car than is what on the unit) then this is what you will have to do: Quote:
