Angry 1999 Accessory Power

I apologize if this has been asked/answered before, but my searches and (lots of) reading have not turned up anything. The used 1999 I recently purchased has an after-market stereo installed, and all seems to be working correctly, but the power is not connected to accessory power. I have found the lead wire they used to tap into the fuse box (HVAC fuse) on the passenger side, but I am unable to find a better fuse to tap into. So far all of the suggestions I have found and tried are either constant power or are on the "on" key position. Does anyone know if there is a fuse I can tap that will turn the radio on when the key is in the "accessory" position?
(This is much easier on my son's '77 )

Have you looked at any schematics on the radio circuit? That would quickly solve your issue.

Do you mean the schematics on the factory radio or the after-market radio? I had just hoped that there was a fuse available that was on accessory power. I thought someone would know off the top of their head of an accessory power fuse, but instead I will take the suggestion to check them with a meter.

It doesn't matter about the radio, the accessory source would be the same. I need to boot up another computer or I would post the schematics.

Todays cars and trucks are getting harder and harder to find easy places to get aux. power. Especially keyed power.

HI there,

Your best option would be the fuse labeled ASRYOFF, and there is a wire coming OUT of the fuse panel that you can directly splice to.

This wire is ONLY LIVE in ACC or RUN.

The wire color is YELLOW and is located right near C206.

This connector is a 3 pin pictured below.

It should be pushed back to the RIGHT of the fuse block in that area of the toe board.

This is normally what is used to connect up the 12 disc CD changer in the rear of C5.

Allthebest, c4c5
