The talks have been going on for six months and no conclusion has been reached yet, said a person familiar with the situation. If a deal is reached, it would save development costs for Chrysler, which had a $1.5 billion operating loss for 2006. GM will sell off the basic structure...and this will allow DC to offer a big SUV without a lot of R & D. Makes sense since the market is shrinking...and volumes off a bit. GM's new large and mid size SUV"s are amazing... DC could do a lot worse. | ||||||||||||||||||||
