CM HVAC quesitons

First off let me start with saying my compressor was making loud noise as if it was going out. so i replaced it the dyer and orfice tube. Before it completely went out or locked up on me. It blew cold but on one side. (passenger). Ive read on the boards that if freon levels are low this could cause the problem.

I was wondering what should my pressures read on my gauges when hooked up? maybe it is still low or small leak?

I am getting three codes for the left side actuator. b0361 H, b0363 H , and b0441 H-C.... From what i have read that is probably just my left side actuator, and not my freon levels.

Another problem im experiencing with it. Is the fan speed for the blower motor. I can turn the speed all the way up and it seems to take a few minutes for it to come on. then if i lower it it takes another few minutes for the speed to slow down, or it doesn't change speeds at all. I was wondering if it was because my HVAC system has codes cause as soon as i clear my codes it will start to work fine till the codes reappear.

Also, i have tried re indexing them by unplugging the battery for 10 min then plugging it back on then, fulling turning my car on. Didn't seem to do anything. maybe i am doing doing it right.

Thanks
David

HI there,

Low freon level on Corvette would NEVER cause one side to go cold or hot without the other side doing the EXACT same thing.

So, that being said, your codes are telling you exactly what you need to know.

I would do the actuator FIRST, and then proceed. They are soft spots on Corvette.

Allthebest, c4c5

Thank you for the help. Do you recommend buy the part from anywhere? OEM only or the Oriellys (Dorman brand) work just as well?

With the amount of work that you have to do to put the passenger's side in, I would definitely go OEM. The driver's side is a little easier but GM redesigned those things because of the issue that you are having so I would still go OEM.
