CM Brake Booster Removal

I have the 4 nuts that attach to the studs that pass thru the firewall off, I have disconnected the rod that connects to the brake pedal, I have removed the windshield washer reservoir, but the booster is resisting removal. Is there something I'm missing or is it just a matter of applying sufficient force (it does wiggle, so I don't think there are any bolts still holding it on)?

HI there,

As long as you removed the master cylinder, it will be a bit tough.

Thanks for responding. I was thinking, does it typically get bonded to the rubber seal?

Hi there,

Sometimes, but normally, the threads of the studs hold the booster to the firewall.

OK, thanks again. I'll be able to give it another try Thursday.

All is well, now, new booster installed. I may have to change brake pads, as the Carbotech AX's make the brakes feel overboosted.

What I ended up using to get the old booster out was a slide hammer with an axle puller attachment placed over the master cylinder studs. Trying to muscle it out didn't seem to be working.
