Believe it or not, I still haven't acted on it yet. I was hoping to get the GM part# from c4c5, but he probably forgot, so I'll go with the AC Delco he kindly provided. I'm sure that'll be good enough.

I appreciate the PM, but Victoria's just a little further than I want to go.

I still have not replaced the A\C compressor yet, and it's getting hot as hell in Houston. I did recieve the compressor in the mail last week, but I have been out of town the last week and a half dealing with my father-in-laws death.

I talked to by brother-in-law, who is a knowledgeable mechanic, and he said if I replace the compressor, I should also replace the "dryer?" and the orifice to "do it right".

I don't really doubt my brother-in-laws suggestion, however; almost all his experience has been with older cars. Does this hold true with a C6? Should I follow his suggestion and replace the orifice and dyer as well?

If so, does anyone know the oem part #'s?

Thanks,

Some warranties will not cover the compressor unless those other parts are replaced. If a compressor fails (not saying yours did) there is contamination throughout & if not removed from other components can fail the new compressor.
