I recently bought a 2007 Z06 with 18,000 miles. It has the stock GY tires. The outter 1/4 to 1/2 of each rear tire is worn substantially more than the inside. The previous owner was an older guy, but I don't put it past him to gun it out of turns. If that's the case, I 'm not worried, but I'm wondering if there is any camber adjustment for the rear that I should address. I'm going to put on new Nitto Invo tires and don't want to ruin them. Thanks...

Hi there, Absolutely. You can adjust both camber and toe setting in the rear. My suggestion is to get a full 4 wheel alignment and then obtain a confirmation printout for your records. Ask them to get to the 'prefered' specification, not just acceptable. Allthebest, c4c5 |

OP~ be sure to keep an eye on the inside edges of your front tires. The wear there can sneak up on you.

After I've racked up a bunch of mileage on a set of tires, about once a week, I turn the wheels all the way to the left or the right to get a good look at the inside edges. The last time I replaced my tires, which was just about a month ago, I noticed that the inside of the front tires, AND rear tires were down to the chords in some spots. Substantial more wear than across the rest of the tires. To inspect the inner edges of the rear tires, I guess I'll either jack the rear of the car, or lay on my belly. Looks like I better look into an alignment job as well. Does anyone know if Sears can be trusted with this? Thanks, tmoorez06 | |||||||||||||||||||||

I am looking at Michelins (pilot sport a/s zp) for my 08. The OEM front tires are worn. The rears actually don't look that bad. Can't say I noticed uneven wear. Just thought 15k was not alot of miles for a $300 tire.

Did you stay with runflats? I know around here that guys like the Nittos but I was unsure because they are not run flats.
