The handle for my 1979 c3 broke. I want to buy a new one but everywhere i look states the 1979 vette can have either the straight or curved handle. I called a couple of dealerships to see if they can tell me by my VIN # but they all said I had to remove it first before I can find out. Is there anyway I can find out by my VIN: 1Z87895443210. I dont want to have to take apart the steering column until i have the new part. Any direction would be great. Thanks. | ||||||||||||||||||||

HI there, GM viss does not go back there so using the VIN to tell you does not work. However, that turn signal stalk should PULL straight out of the switch without any removal of the steering column parts.. Allthebest, c4c5 |

The blinker is broke and just dangles there. Any "How to" on removing it? Does anything lock it in place that i need to release prior to trying to pull the broke peice of the column?
