The amp gauge needle doesn't move when motor is running. It gives no indication that there is any current flow (+ or -). The alternator must be charging as car always starts, battery is seemingly charged. Suspect amp gauge is busted but alternator is charging the battery nevertheless. I had pulled the dash to replace temp. gauge and fix odometer. Can't remember how gauge operated before removing dash. Thanks, Ed

HI there, Sometimes, they can be flaky. It would be suggested to put a clamp on ammeter to you negative battery cable and measure the amp flow. If its under 50, its probably accurate, but if its over that, then you might have a bad gauge. Double check your connections and that you have voltage on both sides of the gauge. Allthebest, c4c5 |
