| I was out today just for a cruise down to Delaware, I pulled over to check a map and when I started up again I drove for about a miles and when I looked down, one my DIC is said "Service Tire Mon SYS" So at first I figure I've picked up a nail, and I'm having a flat. ( The tires are Brand New Michelin Pilot Sports PS2 ZP. but as I drove on slowly I realized it didn't say any tire was low on air? So now I'm confused. The sensors are all brand new (Installed when the new Michelin tires were installed). I remember when they mounted the tires they had trouble synchronizing the tire pressure sensors, but they finally got them to read all fine. and I drove it for a few hundred miles and now I get this "Service Tire Mon SYS" warning. Any ideas from you techs? Thank you ! It's a 2003 stock LS1 Corvette coupe. | ||||||||||||||||||||

What were the individual tire pressures that were displayed? One may have been low.

| They were all as they are this morning ( I went out and checked them by hand) and they are all 33PSI and one that is 34PSI. Could the fact that they were a little on the rich side cause this? They have never gave this warning in all of the last two months of driving the car? Thank you ! | ||||||||||||||||||||

The system will come on if the tires are over inflated as well as underinflated. I think that the over inflated pressure is 40 or 45 psi, but I can't remember at this moment. Remember that 10*F is equal to about 1lbs of pressure either way, up or down so you can vary tire pressures by quite a bit from morning to afternoon depending on your weather. I have had below 30*F in the morning and over 70*F in the afternoon in my area, which equates to about 3-4lbs difference in tire pressures. You may have another issue, but don't rule out the possibility of actual tire pressures. Good luck with it.
