Question 08 headlight cover small cracks

My 2008 coupe headlight cover has small cracks in it. Looks like someone sat on it. Has anyone had this? Hopefully the warranty covers this. Just notice the other cover has a few little cracks.

HI there,

This is called crazing and coverage is dependant.

The key is that there is no clear covering over the top of the lens, such as 3M clear bra.

That retains heat and is not covered by warranty.

If you have nothing on the lens, then you should be just fine.

We hope this helps.

Allthebest, c4c5

Angry 08 headlight cover small cracks

Thanks, called my local dealer. Unfortunately, "crazes" are covered under 3 year (bumper to bumper) warranty and not under extended. My 3 yr ended April 1st, 2011. Oh well. Thanks anyway.

You don't have a clear bra material on them do you? This can cause overheating which leads to crazing.

Nope, no clear bra hear. Maybe a little wax, that's all.
