Last october,I bought a 2002 Z06 with a modified exhaust system(someone had tried to make a bypass to get more sound) It gave check engine light with theses codes PO172-PO175-PO420-PO430 I have installed a cat back borla system 140039 What a great sound but the light and the codes are coming after being flushed. Is it possible that a sensor was already out of service or is there any problem with borla systems? Many thanks for any informations.

HI there, Your codes, P0172/0175 are showing that your engine is running rich. The p0420/p0430 is saying that your catalytic converters are NOT working. Did you remove them ???/ Allthebest, c4c5 |

What do you mean when you say "after being flushed"? What exactly was flushed?

Do you know if headers were on the car before you bought it? Can you get under the car and check the wiring to the O2 sensors?

The codes and the check engine light were "flushed" (tooked off) by disconnecting the batterie but naturelly they come back after a hundred miles. The headers or exhaust manifolds were on the car. They are original equipment. There is no problem on the wiring. What do you think of Bosal direct fit catalytic converters to replace mine? Thanks and have a good day.
