CM Clicking when the engine is cold

There is a clicking sound coming from the engine when it is cold.
Corvette Z06 2002
That sound disapear after 15 to 20 seconds
This is not an exhaust leak ,it is like the sound of a clicking valve or a bad spark plug wiring but it disapear when the engine is hot.
If someone have an idea ,it would be very appreciated.

Hi there,

Its probably cold start piston slap due to carbon buildup.

You might want to try to add a can of BG44k to your fuel tank and reevaluate if the noise changes after that tank of fuel is used.

Ebay the stuff or it can cost a small fortune if you find it locally, usually only repair shops carry it. If you do purchase it online, look for a seller with the yellow plastic funnel to install it with, it's cheap and very handy. Good luck with it.
