CM Disconnect airbag indicator cable

I will admit that sometimes cable connectors get the best of me - and this is one of those times.

I need to disconnect the cable connector for the "Passenger air bag off" light in the center console of a 2003, on the panel where the Active Handling button lives.

The connector in shown in the pictures below. For the life of me I can't see how to get the darned thing apart. I suspect that the right side cable in the pictures somehow disconnects from the connector body. There doesn't seem to be anything to press in order to release a catch. Maybe I should just pull HARDER?????

What is the trick?

In the second picture it looks like you pry up on the tab that is on the side with a slot in it with a small screwdriver and pull it apart. Good luck with it.

CM Figured it out

I finally figured it out. You must remove the white locking clip shown in the picture and then you can disconnect the cable.

I won't tell you how many hours I sat there fiddling with it without any success - then a friend looked at it and figured it out.

Yes pry up tab, remove white shim. Pull apart. IIRC

Don't drop white shim into inaccessable region.
