CM LS6 crank pully wobble question

Almost every c5z I have checked at track events has some wobble.

On mine there is no belt noise or wear (stock belt & all pullys & tensioners).

40k miles, 2004.

I did shred a belt once at an event, half the belt shredded & I was able to drive home with 1/2 (wide) belt turning everything.

It was run pretty hard that day.

I replaced with a new belt from NAPA, I forget the brand but it was a good one.

Been fine since.

Is this wobble an issue, or forget it & drive the car?

Don't forget it, but some wobble is normal as even new replacements can do the same thing. I would just watch it closely, (I have the same issue and was told by two different highly qualified GM techs that it would be the same with a new lower pulley), making sure to check for belt alignment as well as the wobble. Belt alignment issues usually indicate that the rubber has started to seperate from the pulley, as does the wobble getting worse. Good luck with it.

When the belt jumps, does that usually happen at the tensioner? I heard there is better (oem) tensioner with a lip or some improvement that helps keep it on at high revs.
