CM Squeak developed when a/c on

I recently noticed this squeak at startup that I can cause to cycle on/off by cycling the a/c on off.

It goes away when warmed up and a/c cycles on/off.

I think this sounds like the tensioner on the a/c belt, yes?

Is there a better one that I can replace the original with?

It really bugs me to go to the trouble of replacing a bad part with the same part that'll go bad again.

See if the same noise is there when your radiator fans cycle on and off when hot (228-230*F at idle) and the a/c is off, it could be your radiator fan making the noise. Good luck with it.

Because the a/c also triggers low speed rad fan,

yes I'll let it heat up till fans/no a/c come on.

thx.

I am thinking this squeak is related to the new thread I started about a possible w/p leak.

The a/c tensioner is wet.
