CM F55 shock leak

Hi Paul,

Well, I just noticed last night (car is on a lift) that the drivers rear shock has a light film on it. the car is a 2007 A6 with 5,600 miles. Any suggestions? I can post a picture as soon as I can figure out how to do it.

Hi there,

GM will classify that as normal.

Normally, when I see oil reach the bottom of the shock, that is when the leak is too much.

H ithere,

Yes, just make sure that the lower shock mount bolt is replaced.

These are torque to yield and is over 100 ft lbs.

I suggest you get out and drive your car! Make those shocks work. :)

Seriously, put some miles on that thing and the up and down action may help the seals.

Now go play with your tools!

I do drive it alot. I just sold my IPC (33 years old) a few months ago with 9 miles on it. That will really put your nickers in a twist.
