First off, great site. Have learned much about just by reading through the forums. On my 95 coupe I bought earlier this year I have the Bose system in it, but the front speakers never worked (barely) and the rears sound "ok". I have found that it has plain Delco speakers all around. I understand now why the fronts have no sound, but I would think the rears wouldn't work either. I'm guessing a previous owner had problems with the Bose speakers and found a cheap way to get some sound after the original speakers died. Regardless, would I be able to just replace them all with the correct Bose speakers? Would any other modifications had to have been done previously to make the rear speakers work and I'll now need to change it back? I'm hoping to pickup some used working ones at a good price. I was going to replace the whole system, but the decided to keep the original sound system if possible. | ||||||||||||||||||||

HI there, I would be checking the Bose amplifier very closely. If you are looking for a way to diagnose, check for fluctuating AC voltage at the speaker terminals. That will let you know if you have a speaker or amplifier issue. Allthebest, c4c5 |
