Where is the fuel filter on a '09 Z51? I'm bringing my car in for 30K maintenance and the service writer hasn't a clue nor interest if it can be replaced. TIA.

You do NOT have one that can be changed. As Larry said, in the tank. Allthebest, c4c5 |

Many auto manf did away with them as people were not changing them and the one in the tank was/is rated for a very long life. I personally liked the in line filters and changed them once a year, but can't do that any more!

Thanks for the replies. Shocking that these aren't serviceable and are good for the life of the car? Is it possible to splice one in the fuel line or would that not be recommended.

Most can be changed if circustances warrant it, but it involves removing the pump of course. I wouldn't bother installing one though, the one in the tank and on the pump will be good until the pump fails. When you get a new pump, you get a new filter.
