today found grease on the inside of left rear wheel have a 2006 base LS2. found a slit in cv boot removed the outer shaft from hub so the question is how to get the back shaft from the rear end do you have to take the plate off on the side of the rear end to get it off need your help have never done this before thanks for your help guys ron41 |

ron41~ Was the wheel bbl grease found during your inspection of the rear of the car trying to locate the "popping" sound? If so, then good job taking care of a small problem that becomes a "bigger" problem! | ||||||||||||||||||||

yes i found the boot split and grease all over the wheel and every thing else removed the axle cleaned the bearing replaced the grease no more popping noise thinks for the help ron41 |
